Turks and Caicos Private Island Resort

This August, the Blue Sky Luxury Travels team is heading to the Turks and Caicos Islands! We can’t wait to share the best villas and resorts we experience during our stay. To kick off the discovery, we’ll be spending our first week at Ambergris Cay—an exclusive private island resort located 600 miles south of Miami and featured in this spotlight.

Originally established as a community for private homeowners, Ambergris Cay opened as a private island resort in 2019. Now, travelers seeking a secluded luxury escape can enjoy access to over 1,100-acres of mostly untouched land. With bungalows and villas for rent on an all-inclusive basis, the result is a luxury boutique hotel feel in a vast and diverse setting.

Activities:
Active travelers will welcome the opportunity to embark on numerous adventures amidst the island’s vast terrain. Navigate the winding roads, hiking trails, and coastlines by golf cart, foot or bicycle. Master a new skill with complimentary access to onshore fishing, Hobie cats, and kayaks. Get up close and personal with marine life while snorkeling. Then venture out further on a sunset cruise, deep sea fishing excursion or a private boat tour to Little Ambergris Cay.

Dining:
A la carte menu selections vary by the day, based on seasonality, and are comprised of the highest quality ingredients. From grilled lobster to organic chicken breast, international chefs will prepare local island cuisine and classic favorites to your taste. Vegan and vegetarian menus are available, and special dietary needs will be catered to with advance notice. The all-inclusive service affords guests the convenience of gourmet meals and premium cocktails in any of the island’s culinary settings, including poolside bites, deserted beach picnics, and all-day dining at Calico restaurant and bar.
